KVKK Clarification Text Under the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”), which entered into force upon publication in the Official Gazette on 07.04.2016, our practice holds the status of Data Controller. In accordance with the KVKK, your personal data will be processed, recorded, stored, preserved, updated, and shared with third parties in cases permitted by legislation by the practice belonging to Prof. Dr. Burak KAYA (hereinafter referred to simply as the “Practice”) solely within the scope of the consent you have given and as explained below.
1. Collection and Processing of Personal Data The personal data you provide may be used by our practice to provide services, improve service quality, fulfill activities prescribed and/or specified as exceptions by relevant legislation and public authorities, perform sales and marketing activities, comply with information storage, reporting, and notification obligations, and conduct operations for improving service quality and sales and marketing activities.
2. Data Retention and Data Security Your personal data will be stored for as long as the purpose of data processing remains valid. Data will be kept within these limits subject to legal periods and if required for reporting and information purposes to legal authorities and relevant public bodies. Necessary security measures are taken by us to prevent the loss of stored and recorded data, its unauthorized access, and unlawful use.
3. Data Sharing Without your explicit consent, your data will not be used for purposes other than intended and will not be shared or transferred to third parties domestically or abroad, except for legal obligations and official institutions and organizations. In order to share and process your data with third parties from whom we receive services or cooperate with to carry out existing activities in our practice and improve our service quality, your explicit consent given in printed or electronic environment, such as your written consent on the agreement/permission form, is required.
4. Rights Regarding the Protection of Personal Data Our clients whose personal data are processed have the right to apply to the Practice, as the data controller pursuant to the provisions of KVKK, to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed,
- Request information if your personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad,
- Request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- Request deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the legislation,
- Request notification of the operations made regarding correction or deletion of personal data to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
- Claim compensation for damages in case of suffering damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Pursuant to the provisions of KVKK, applications regarding these rights to be made to the Practice as data controller must be submitted to us in writing or through other methods determined by KVKK.
5. Amendments to Data Privacy Principles Depending on legislative changes, there may be changes to the principles shared herein. When a change occurs, necessary announcements will be made on our website, and we recommend that you visit our website regularly to stay informed of these changes.
B. COOKIE POLICY We use certain cookies on the www.profdrburakkaya.com.tr website (“Site”). This Cookie Policy applies to the Site managed by the Practice belonging to Prof. Dr. Burak KAYA, and cookies will be used as detailed below in the Policy.
